Maurice Ephrati, David Joory, Sandy Koifman and Ariel Arazi founded Bedrock in 2004; the ambition was to create one of the first independent investment boutiques providing global investment and advisory capabilities.
Today Bedrock has offices in London, Geneva and Monaco and a team of 88 investment professionals who oversee the management of its client’s assets. In 2015, Bedrock was ranked 3rd in Europe and 25th globally in the Bloomberg Family office rankings.

Alexandre is a former trader on the non-ferrous metal market and a former member of the Board of Directors of RAW RESOURCES (based in Moscow), a company that specialises in the trading of oil, oil-based products and non-ferrous metals. He was also a director and a shareholder of FABULA GMBH and a member of the Board of Directors of EXPONOR SA, both of whom specialisedin the export/import of the non-ferrous metal markets.
Alexandre is currently investing in various projects in the field of mining and mineral processing. Alexandre is a graduate of the Faculty of Journalism at the University of Latvia. He is a German citizen and a permanent resident of Switzerland.
Richard has been active in technology since the early 90’s, building deep-rooted relationships with key stakeholders in the tech community as well as acting as a direct investor in both early- and late-stage technology businesses. Richard worked in Zurich for McKinsey & Co before going on to build MediService, which became Europe’s largest specialty pharmacy. Following MediService’s acquisition by Galenica, Richard joined Index Ventures in 2001 as a partner in the life science practice.
Richard currently leads Technology Opportunity Partners (TOP), which he founded in partnership with Bedrock, to invest in iconic, blue chip, private, internet-related companies. Since launching TOP, Richard has had primary responsibility for deploying over $120M in equity in leading tech companies. Richard graduated with an AB in Economics, History and an MA in International Policy Studies from Stanford University.
Since the start of his career, Piers’ activities have centred on corporate finance, governance, and advisory. After a successful career in banking, in 1987 he became an independent consultant and started servicing a range of leading international financial institutions. Piers deals with clients who are based across the globe, with active and past projects spanning five continents. As a result, he has diverse and extensive experience with both private and publicly traded companies; having focussed on family controlled businesses in particular. His engagements typically centre on providing strategic advice to help clients grow their businesses. The longer term nature of his engagements means he ultimately ends up helping his clients through Merger/Acquisition and the pursuit of other market liquidity strategies. He also represents a range of ultrahigh net worth families and assists them in managing/developing their directly owned businesses. On behalf of clients, he chairs philanthropic foundations. Additionally he acts as a mentor to a range of young entrepreneurs and is an investor in their businesses.
Victor Asser was the co-founder of the Telesis group in 1993, which soon became the leading independent investment banking business in Greece. Following the merger of Telesis Investment Bank and EFG Eurobank in 2002 , Victor was appointed Chief Executive Officer of EFG Eurobank Equities, and played a major role in the expansion of operations in the South East European region. Since September 2008, Victor has undertaken an advisory role and is also involved heavily in private equity investments. Victor holds a B.Sc. (Cum Laude) from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA degree in finance from the Tel Aviv University.
Philippe Perles is a Senior Partner of Noveo Conseil SA, a management-consulting company based in Geneva, Paris and London. He has a 30 years’ track record in Business Consulting, Commodity Trading and Private Banking industries. Philippe has participated in the planning, design, and implementation of large infrastructures for several major banks, financial companies and commodity traders.
Philippe is an Independent Board Member at Bank Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) SA. He is also an Independent Board Member at Bedrock Realtime SA, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) solutions for Independent Asset Managers, Trust Companies and Private Banks. Philippe is a Board Member at ARIF, Self-regulating organization (SRO) for prevention of Money laundering in the financial sector based on the Money Laundering Act (MLA).
Prior to Noveo Conseil, Philippe was a Principal at Sherwood Alliance, an Arthur D. Little consulting company. Previously, he was also Member of the Management at Crédit Lyonnais (Suisse) SA. His resume includes former various management positions in Private Banking and Trade Finance industries.
Philippe has a degree in Commercial and Industrial Sciences from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He is a native French speaker and is fluent in English.
Sabby Mionis is a prominent private equity investor and a member of the Board of Directors of Bedrock. Sabby was previously the CEO and CIO of the CMA group of companies, a USD 3 billion investment company which he founded in 1997 and sold to EFG international in February 2006. Sabby was been responsible for building all operational and investment aspects of the CMA business. Under Sabby’s leadership, the CMA Funds had a successful track record and he was also actively involved in developing the CMA structured product business, creating innovative products for CMA’s clients and establishing relationships with the world’s leading structuring banks. Sabby is a respected figure in the real estate and investment fund industry and has participated as a speaker in several industry conferences. Prior to founding CMA, Sabby worked in the Investment Services Group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (‘‘DLJ’’) from 1992 to 1997. Sabby holds a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
